Kirk Mahon, MD

Dr. Kirk Mahon is a dedicated emergency medicine physician with a passion for healthcare, community service, and improving the well-being of others. Drawn to Aspen in 2016 by his love of the mountains and an active outdoor lifestyle, Kirk experienced altitude illness firsthand during summit climbs and ski trips. These experiences, combined with his expertise in hyperbaric and oxygen medicine, inspired him to create Oxygen Now—a service designed to provide accessible, reliable altitude support for locals and visitors alike.

Words from Dr. Mahon:
“I founded Oxygen Now to help people feel their best at high altitudes. I’ve seen how quickly the right care can turn someone’s trip around, and I’m proud to offer a service that makes a real difference in their experience here in Aspen and beyond.”

Telemedicine Consultations:
Dr. Mahon offers telemedicine consultations, providing expert advice and care via phone or video, whether you’re experiencing altitude symptoms or seeking guidance on preventing them.

Community Service:
In addition to his medical work, Kirk has actively volunteered in disaster zones, bringing his expertise to areas in need and making a positive impact in challenging environments.

In his free time, Kirk enjoys skiing, biking, and exploring the mountains with his golden retriever, Karma.

Steph

Steph is a small-town Texas girl with a big heart and a love for life in Aspen/Snowmass. While the stunning mountain scenery draws many to this area, Steph is most inspired by the vibrant and welcoming community that makes the valley so special.

Words from Steph:
“Always have hiking boots in the back of your car—you never know when someone will invite you for a hike up Smuggler or Little Cloud. As for Oxygen Now… I LOVE IT! I get to help people, watch them go from feeling awful to smiling ear to ear, and half the time, we become friends. I’ve even attended clients’ weddings and birthday parties. Helping people here is truly the best part of what I do.”
